<p align="justify">1.    Check the most recent travel guidance for your destination and subscribe to receive free e-mail notice each time the travel advice for your destination is updated.

2.    Take out proper travel insurance for the hospital treatment, medical emigration and any activities, including adventure sports, in which you plan to take part.

3.    Before traveling out of the country register your travel and contact information online or at the local embassy, high commission or consulate once you arrive, so we can contact you in an urgent situation.

4.    Follow the law. Consular supporters cannot dominate local laws, even where local laws appear harsh.

5.    Check to see if you need visas for the country or countries you are tripping. Be conscious that a visa does not security entry.

6.    Make duplicate copies of your passport details, insurance policy, traveller’s cheques, visas and credit card numbers. Carry one copy in a separate place to the originals and leave a copy with someone at home.

7.    Check with health experts for information on suggested vaccinations or other safety measures and find out about overseas laws on traveling with drugs.

8.    Make definite your passport has at least six months validity and carry added copies of your passport photograph with you in case you need a replacement passport while out of the country.

9.    Leave a copy of your travel schedule with someone at home and keep in regular contact with friends and relatives while out of the country.

10.    Before leaving make sure whether you are considered as a national of the country you plan to visit. Examine whether holding dual nationality has any repercussions for your travel.
