Call for Workshop Proposals

DEADLINE: The deadline for submitting workshop is over. BUT if you want to submit a workshop, do not hesitate and fill out the form. The program committee will consider your proposal.

The European Bisexual Conference (EuroBiCon) is the conference that brings together bisexual people and our allies from across Europe and beyond to share ideas, stories and have fun in a safe and friendly space.

The programme is mainly made up of workshop sessions run by the delegates. All delegates are welcome to apply to run a workshop. There is space and time to have over 60 workshops! So send in your ideas. YOU can be part of the programme. Just fill in the form, press the submit button and it will be sent to Barbara Oud and Hilde Vossen.

At EuroBiCon the workshops will be 75 minutes long and will be divided into five themes:

Bisexual Diversity
Workshops that focus on diversity within the bisexual community. These can be about racial diversity; gender diversity; diverse bodies; diverse ages; diverse beliefs; different relationship models, sexual practices or any other topic that focuses on exploring a range of people, identities or ideas relating to bisexuality in some way.

Bisexual Health
Workshops that focus on health and wellbeing. These can be about physical health, mental health, sexual health or general wellbeing. As any research into the health of bisexual people shows we have worse health outcomes than straight or gay people. It is important that we have a space to explore our health and how we can improve it.

Biphobia
Workshops that focus on the exclusion of or prejudice against bisexuality. These can be about discrimination, harassment or hate crime at work, in the street, while accessing services or in public attitudes.

Bisexual Representation
Workshops that focus on how bisexual people are represented (or not). These can be about how bisexual people are portrayed or left out of the media, history, public life, research or the arts (including literature and film).

Light and Fluffy
Workshops that focus on having fun and enjoying each other’s company. These can be workshops in which people play games, watch films, have informal chats, knit, do crafts, or demonstrate a hobby.

We’re looking forward to your workshop proposals! Please fill in the form, press the submit button and it will be sent to Barbara Oud and Hilde Vossen.
